OCTAL8 was formerly ToolBox Software (the product name was also ToolBox) and renamed for trademarking purposes as "ToolBox" was said to be too generic to trademark. Since our humble beginnings we've won coverted awards like the QLD IT&T John Hesketh Award for Excellence (2001) and the Asia Pacific IT&T Regional Construction Software award (2000).

Going back in time even further, OCTAL8 released Build Master Gold (a DOS estimating program) which is where it all began.
